iRacing Trucks - Week 6 - Autoclub Speedway Track Preview and Qualify

As this series draws closer to the end of its 6 weeks goal, so does the iRacing NASCAR fixed truck series season.  To finish things off the guys take their trucks to Autoclub Speedway for some high speed racing to race for the final positions in a hard fought season.

In this video Shaun once again turns to his friend and iRacing pro driver, Andrew Fayash to help him find the speed within Autoclub Speedway.

The training starts with Andrew working on Shauns restarts which have suffered all season long.  They then move into the optimal driving line for both qualifying and for during the race.  Once they were up to speed they worked on some racing offence and defense and fending of potential passes by other trucks.  Then we finish things off with a decent qualifying run for you to see.

I would like to thank Andrew Fayash III for all of his help in preparing for this weeks track.  You can check out his you tube channel where he has cool videos from both iRacing and real life dirt track racing that he does:

Hello Brian,

THat is a great question about braking.  I think it comes down to the amount of push or understeer that it will cause.  With you spending so little time out of the gas at Cali, that brake would take you wider and actually be ahrd to recover from.  The nose sit down well the moment you come off the gas, and you dont need the brakes to set the nose.

We are right now discussing where to take this series, and the whole concept of traning.  More to come on that soon.

Shawn  Truck, week 6 race, I enjoyed this series and have learned so much!  You are taking things to a differnt level Shawn!!  I have a question about this weeks track.   Why not stay in the throttle longer and break to your corner speed before the apex? Also would the drivers helping you consider doing a series of lessons, or short track guides?

TP needs some updating. It is not very intuitive for new users. Instructions are hard to follow at times. Support response is in need of someone's dedication. Having individual paints is a real attraction within iRacing. This needs to be done better or replaced! â€‹Interesting that without member support there would be no answers or help. It's a shame, the program is so popular not to have good management.

I am all signed up and ready to race in the Carrera Cup, except for one thing.  How do I obtain Road America?  I do not have it in AC as one of my tracks.  Where is it?
