The Simraceway Performance Driving Center is relaunching the industry-acclaimed Mechanics Training Program, with the first intake due in September.

The MTP was last run in 2009, with the majority of its 2,700+ graduates finding employment at all levels of IndyCar, NASCAR, IMSA, SCCA, and vintage racing teams, as well as major chassis and engine suppliers. Read on to find out more.

The program’s manager, Ky Boe–himself a noted alumni of the course–and his team have been working hard on ensuring the latest installment of this popular program reflects the very latest technological advances in motorsport.

The all-new Simraceway Mechanics Training Program will provide students with the practical knowledge and skills they need to qualify for an entry-level career in professional motorsports.

Focusing on the basic mechanical design of the contemporary open-wheel racecar, it gives students the opportunity to work side-by-side with professional technicians on a modern fleet of Formula 3 cars—invaluable practical knowledge that is supplemented by extensive input from a number of respected industry experts.

The program is currently accepting applicants for its relaunch in September. To apply or enquire, email or phone 1.707.939.4633.

I myself attended Jim Russell Racing Mechanics Training Program.  I learn alot about cars, racing, and life living at the track.  When it was over I was offered a job at P1 Racing.  The entire experience was fun and I met a lot of friends that I have to this day.

TP needs some updating. It is not very intuitive for new users. Instructions are hard to follow at times. Support response is in need of someone's dedication. Having individual paints is a real attraction within iRacing. This needs to be done better or replaced! Interesting that without member support there would be no answers or help. It's a shame, the program is so popular not to have good management.

I am all signed up and ready to race in the Carrera Cup, except for one thing.  How do I obtain Road America?  I do not have it in AC as one of my tracks.  Where is it?
