Quick Tips is a new segment on the Simpit. In each episode we will have a very simple tips to solve common sim racing problems.
In this episode we give you tip on how to temporarily or permanently label your steering wheel controls or your button boxes. This can be useful when figuring out a new layout prior to making permanent labels.
Shaun, one thing I have found that helps on my sim rig where I have little room for a mouse and mouse pad is to use a roller ball mouse mounted on a Pedestal mount. I put it behind and outboard of my shifter enough I dont grab it shifting gears and it is always handy. Works for me!
I have always used plastic, but bought some paper and then I tape it in place with Scotch tape. Easier to install and remove. Still use plastic for the ones I know I am keeping...
Tim I have also used printed labels like that. It is important to buy high quality ones, because sometimes the paper ones tear when removing and will leave the paper mark behind. Quality paper labels will go a long way on that.
I bought a nice new Dymo printer a while ago so I could label my two button boxes and all. Really like the paper labels compared to the plastic now.

TP needs some updating. It is not very intuitive for new users. Instructions are hard to follow at times. Support response is in need of someone's dedication. Having individual paints is a real attraction within iRacing. This needs to be done better or replaced! Interesting that without member support there would be no answers or help. It's a shame, the program is so popular not to have good management.

I plan on taking this advice. Great page!

Hey Shaun:
I was hoping to participate in the next race and on Simracing System it says it's at Fuji. Which version of Fuji should I download.
Thanks!

Sean,
I am all signed up and ready to race in the Carrera Cup, except for one thing. How do I obtain Road America? I do not have it in AC as one of my tracks. Where is it?
