This section of the site is normally used for articles written by myself or other contributors to the site.  But today I was sent an article that was made available to members of the Ricmotech newsletter and it covered a topic I talk about on the show often and that is driving position.  It doesn't matter if you are talking about a purchased rig or a Do it Yourself version, but driving position is critical in comfort, dexterity and in the end winning races.

This is a screenshot from the beginning of the article giving you an idea of what it covers:

The article has very good arguments for how certain aspect of the cockpit and human controls should be arranged including the visual aspects as part of the equation.  It also includes measurements from some of the biggest auto makers that you can use when designing the perfect ergonomic rig.

To see the full article you need to be a member of the Ricmotech Mailing List and then you can download the full PDF from the site.  Click HERE to sign up for the newsletter.

I just went to triple screens and I see what you are saying about location and positioning being so critical. My set up is a bit unorthodox, but it works comfortably for me day after day many hours a day, so it works for me. Setting the angle between the tv's was more about space available, but seem to fit all the major games very well as far as forced perspective goes. But I did read this first and appreciate the help.

TP needs some updating. It is not very intuitive for new users. Instructions are hard to follow at times. Support response is in need of someone's dedication. Having individual paints is a real attraction within iRacing. This needs to be done better or replaced! â€‹Interesting that without member support there would be no answers or help. It's a shame, the program is so popular not to have good management.

I am all signed up and ready to race in the Carrera Cup, except for one thing.  How do I obtain Road America?  I do not have it in AC as one of my tracks.  Where is it?
